About the SCJP designation

The SCJP is professional certification from Sun Microsystems in Java, and stands for Sun Certified Java Programmer. From their site:

This foundation certification is for programmers interested in demonstrating proficiency in the fundamentals of the Java programming language.

I passed the SCJP Exam for Java 6 in March 2010.
